1883
William Harding Scott meets E.A. Paris
William Harding Scott meets E.A. Paris and is asked to develop a dynamo for Colman’s.
1884
Paris and Scott Ltd Established
Paris and Scott Ltd was established.
1887
R. Laurence Investment
Mr. R. Laurence invests £6000 into the business, and the company becomes Laurence and Scott Ltd shortly afterward.
1896
Relocation to Hardy Road
The company moves to Hardy Road, where it is still located today, using land previously owned by Colman.
1897
Morley Electrical Engineering Company Established
Morley Electrical Engineering Company Ltd is established, marking the beginning of its journey as a leader in underground coal mining.
